I am after changing the brake pads on the front of my audi a4 one of the calpers was sticking the check engine light abs and traction control light came on and mileage clock has stopped working i've since freed the calpers but the lights haven't gone off and mileage still not working

These lights mean the ABS system has been shut off due to a fault, the brakes will fell fine but the ABS is not going to work if you need it until you fix the fault.

They had to disconnect the abs in order to change the pads so it set off the abs light. you can just drive for a while and it might go away or you can disconnect the battery for 10 seconds but be careful the car player might ask for the code in order to play it.

i have seen this many times on VW passats which are on the same platform. You may need a new abs control unit. if the abs control unit cannot be scanned by a computer, check all fuses. if abs contol unit is needed, there is aftermarket places that can rebuild them, i recommend factory unit.
