I have on the dashboard a sensor light that shows oil change with a wrench we were told that the oil needed changing so we did it but the light still wont go out someone said that we had to push some buttons to get it out but what buttons. thank you

Hello, it depends on whether you have the Driver Information Center option. I will send both ways.

Without Driver Information Center,
Turn ignition to the "ON" position. Slowly depress accelerator pedal 3 times within 5 seconds. "CHANGE ENGINE OIL" lamp will flash.
Turn ignition off. Start engine. Oil life will display 100%.

With Driver Information Center,
Turn ignition to the "ON" position. Press "FUEL INFORMATION" button repeatedly until "OIL LIFE" is displayed. Press and hold
button with the arrow pointing left until "100%" is displayed.

It seems to be time for an oil change! If you already changed your oil you are going to need to reset the change oil light.


To reset the Change Oil light you will need to turn the ignition key to the open position then back to off 3 times.
After the third time leave it on in the open position then depress the gas pedal to the floor 3 times.
Turn key off and it should now be reset.

What does the wrench warning light on my dashboard of my 2007 civic mean?
it usually means you are due for an oil change unless the last place that changed oil did not reset the light. Some Odometer displays will show you the oil life when you switch through the displays.

Stop the engine! Have it towed back to them (at their cost). They may not put the correct amount of oil in the engine. The oil can is telling you that you do not have adequate oil pressure. Let me know what happens.

Just bought my Honda accord 2007 but it did not come with book. When the wrench sign on the dashboard is lit what does that mean. It also shows oil......15% does it need oil change?
The wrench on your dash board means that maintenace is required. if your oil is at 15% it is time for an oil change and the tech that changes your oil will reset the light.

We have 2008 Honda accord. There is yellowish
It means it's time for service---- to change engine oil -- check air filter and various maintence stuff--- if you have the owners manual it will show you what service to perfoam and to log it in the service book.
Also has intructions in the owners manual as to how to reset the service warning light-- kind of tricky but once you get it it's pretty simple.

It could simply be maybe the person changing your oil never reset the light? or you have a oil pressure sensor leaking or not working.
most of the time its someone never reset the oil change light. even before it goes on it goes by mileage, so maybe it didnt go off yet cause you cnahged it a tad early.so noone even tried to reset it.

I guess you could have an oil pressure problem, but thats going the extreme route.. but if nothing else shows that could be a problem.

Sensor light on dashboard
Press the gas pedal up and down 3 times within 5 seconds WITH THE IGNITION ON--ENGINE OFF. May need to be repeated till cleared. Hope this helps

What does the orange wrench light mean on an 07 hybrid? it looks like a maintenance light but i have no idea if this is right or what type of maintenance it's suggesting.
The dashboard will show an orange wrench when it comes time for the car to be serviced. The wrench means that the car needs an oil change and the A1 image means that the car needs a tire rotation.
