1 want to pull off a harmonic balancer off a oldsmoble cutlass cieras without jumping out or time

You need the right part on that Cutlass to make that Cutlass running man that's just like going to a doctor and say I need a heart transplant when it says all well I'll give you a heart transplant and then you wake up with a new liver and it's like I need a heart transplant and instead of a heart transplant you get a new liver then you're like I didn't ask for a liver well doesn't it all run the same

located behind the harmonic balancer. it has to be pulled to replace the sensor and the air gap checked when temporarily place the balancer on crank so there is no damaged done to the sensor as well you can visually check the veins on the balancer for being straight.

Should be near the font harmonic balancer or in behind it.

Yes. You always need a puller for the harmonic balancer. Never try to remove it without a puller. You may be able to rent one at the auto parts store or borrow one from a friend. Hope this helps.

Do you mean for timing purposes? If not that should have a key way. If not equipped with a key way no alignment is needed

im not sure wich size bolts you need but if you go to a parts store that has a balancer in stock they can match up the bolts you need. I had the same problem with the same car my puller did not come with the corect bolts to pull it

No. The balancer can be pulled off from the crank with no problem. It's the main pulley on the engine. It has a big bolt at the center that holds the pulley onto the crank, that bolt needs to come off. Then the pulley (harmonic balancer) can come off.

Just because the spark jumped (all over the place) does not mean there is something wrong with the spark, it does indicate that you probably have a strong spark. The reason he pulled the spark plug wire off was to check if that cylinder was firing, I would not sweat it.
