SOURCE: what is the gap setting on a spark plug for a 2004

Check the emissions sticker under the hood. You should find it there. Also in your owners manual.

For a 97' Dakota, the gap is the same unless you bought gapless plugs. Set gap to 40 thousands. (.40)
Hope this helps. You can also always just ask the counter when you buy plugs. They will tell you the same gap space.
