I have 2004 bmw325i.recently the engine light came on and i check the oil and it was bare empty. i took it to where i bought the car and did an oil change, but the engine light is still on. what do you think would be the promblem?

Did you clear the code after replacing the assembly?

did the assembly have the solenoid and oil pressure switch?

have you had the oil changed recently?

have you checked the oil level?

what engine size?

don't trust any people for engine oil change take oil level after they change it.

If you went to one of those franchise quick lubes,
they just ruined another engine

The wires that you move, probably have a bare spot on one of them shorting out. check every wire carefully. Wires tend to break at the plugs so check there also. Give them a tug, one at a time you will find the problem. Of course do this while the car is running. when the light comes on, you found the problem. And find another shop, 1000 is way to high.

Here is what you need to do. The check engine light is on because the computer has detected a problem with your vehicle. You need to take it to Autozone or Advanced to get it scan. They will do it for free and they will let you know what they find. This will let you know where the problem is and then you can go rom there. The breaks probably need changed. what kind of car? have you looked up the code? need more info

Sounds like your dealer is feeling its way. which sensor did they say they changed and why. Do not pay for this ****, you took it to the dealer with a warning light and they say they changed something in order to attempt to cure the warning but they failed. About as much use as changing the seat covers and emptying the ash trays! When you say noise, is this a squeal, a crunch, is it continuous or is it during change gear. Does the car slip when in gear, is there vibration. Check your engine oil and transmission oil levels
