Maybe a defective fuel pump or fuel pump relay, when it happens try to take the air filter hose off the throttle body and pour some fuel in the throttle then try to start the engine if it starts is fuel pressure to low due to bad pump regulator or relay not starting the pump when hot

get ignition coil checked. If it is EFI DO NOT press on Accelerator when starting it.
Could have a leak in fuel and it evaporates over night
if carby fuel may be leaking out over night as vapour. In mornng you are fuel pump refilling fuel into carby until it starts again.

I have a 2005 Nissan Hardbody 3.3l V6 4x4. In the morning, you start and drive for long hrs no issues. The problem starts after switching it off, and when its hot. It cuts off, you crank up until batt

Sounds like a "HOT SOAK" problem.
Starter gets hot,it lacks power to crank the engine.

Possible "Vapor lock".

Check for engine codes.Possible bad temp sensor for ECU.

If fuel delivery is suspect ,try starting fluid into intake when "no start" occurs to diagnose fuel problem.

1992 cavalier. starts and drives fine, but will die after it's been driven if i try to put it in gear again. What's the problem? bought it site unseen, drove it home about 7 miles and it started sputtering...

Try pulling the vacuum line off of the EGR valve when the engine is warm and starts to sputter. If it runs good cold and then dies when warm and won't start again until the engine cools it is most likely a bad or sticking EGR valve. Try the procedure to confirm it is the EGR. You can check the internet for location and an image of the EGR valve for your specific car. Please rate me on this answer.

Where is distributor cap on 1987 chevy cavalier

the car should have a coil pack...when you changed the plugs and wires they cap would have been at the top end of the plug wires. other wise it wil be at the front of the car where the plug wires or sparkplugs run to
