It sounds like the neutral safety switch is bad need more info year make model yes it could be a brake switch or cruise controller switch or controller.Find a good mechanic because these are serious issues. Good Luck
stuck? the lever is stuck in up or down? not enough information, but, if that's the case you need to probably replace the signal switch, but, first take apart the steering column and see if something just didnt come loose. vyou can contact me if you need more help.
not sure what truck you have. if you selected the 4x4 with a lever or button. the button has a switch that controls a motor to change the transfer to lock up. if it was a lever and didn't work then something could be out of alignment. but my 2000 chevy it needs to be in neutral to go into 4x4 low. sometimes even for 4x4 high. if your in a gear that might be why it wont. or something needs to replaced, motor maybe
I don't think an auto parts store will even attempt to put this in for you. If you want to do it yourself I'd suggest Googling something like, "Where is the heat temperature sensor located on a 1999 Olsmobile Cutless?" You should find lots of drawings, short videos and written instructions. I don't know what your level of expertise is so I'd be reluctant to tell something like,"Look at the parts of your cooling system starting with the radiator output hose and search for..." This might confuse you and do more damage than having someone look at it.
Hello: The auto down part of the system is in the switch if the window goes up and down when you hold the switch there is no need to remove the door panel. To replace the switch you just need to remove the switch plate, take a 6 in straight screw driver put something under it to protect the panel, push in and slightly down to release the clip and pry up.
never done one but sympathise with you ,put your extra strong glasses on and have good look ,i think it could be all part of the centre console and you may need to strip a bit more out first
yea man , the **** that put the ignition switch in did something ??? you now need a brake switch ,i would take it back who knows what he did . but the ignition switch goes from the horn blinker area to the bottom of the column where the brake switch is
