I have a 2003 Lincoln Navigator with air ride suspension, a couple of days ago one wheel was fully extending. That lasted about 2 or 3 days, then the whole system quit and the Navigator sank all the way down, and the compressor doesn't turn on. I bypassed the relay and the compressor started to turn on, so I replaced the relay and nothing different happens. i was told to go ahead and change height sensor on bad wheel, so I did that, and nothing has changed. The compressor still won't turn on, unless I bypass the relay. What else could it be? Is there a way to test the computer module? Is there another way to test the compressor? i replaced solenoids, compressor and relay Read more: http://www.justanswer.com/questions/33yrc-i-have-a-2003-lincoln-navigator-with-air-ride-suspension-a#ixzz0heUBhk1p

Check all your fuses. in the dash if any and in the hood if any. Sounds like the circuit overloaded and shorted out.

There may be more underlying problems than you want to deal with. On the air suspension systems it can be very pricey and frustrating finding the problem with the car. My suggestion is to check out Strutmasters.com. They offer conversion kits for your vehicle at a great price. I put one on my moms Navigator and she loves it! Of course she loved the fact that she saved money too.

Can the front suspension problem be due to the compressor

If the rear suspension is not affected its probably a leak or a front height sensor.

2004 Lincoln Navigator when making slow turn wheel fully turned in either direction the truck comes to a complete stop while in gear. I have to press the gas hard to move. I had a strutmasters kit...

check and adjust the turn stops so that a turn angle of 20 degrees is the maximum
It is possible that with the changed suspension that the steering on full turn is making the wheels at such an angle that the vehicle is trying to push the wheel sideways instead of rolling it around the corner

2003 lincoln navigator wont air up with new compressor

Try this.... My 2003 Lincoln Navigator was manufactured May 22, 2003 so it's the late model that came with the Intec 5.4 Liter DOHC V-8 (not the Triton engine). I replaced the two front ride height sensors (one for each air strut) and replaced the one rear ride height sensor (passenger side) that controls the ride height for BOTH rear air struts. That solved the problem for a few months during warm weather, until the weather started cooling off. Then back to the same issue. The front passenger air strut started releasing air from the solenoid (air block) making a "hissing sound." Replaced BOTH front air strut solenoids (connected at the top of each air strut). That also resolved the problem for a few days. After going all around the world, I discovered it's the Air Ride Control Module (ASM) that was the problem all along.

This is most likely the culprit for your air ride suspension problem.

I have a 2001 lincoln navigator an the rear end is sitting very low since 2 days ago and i have no idea how to trouble shoot it

Check fuses for the air pump. I think that has air ride and the pump is probably not working to air up the rear shocks. If you have the owners manual, look in the back for "Fuses" and go to that page. That will tell you where the fuses are and what they are for. Good Luck.

2004 Lincoln nave, rear wheels jacked up high, front wheels normal, rides real rough??? any thoughts???? Thanks,

Replace the air suspension with conventional shock/strut
conversions. The Air Ride System is not worth investing
time and money ,after the vehicle is 5 years old.
Too expensive to maintain ,and too difficult to diagnose

Next time buy the Ford version of the vehicle

04 lincoln navigator, Air ride problem. Driverside front and rear bags appear fully inflated. The passenger side looks normal height. When I shut the truck off driverside stays jacked up and passenger side...

My suggestion to you and all the other folks leaving questions on this board about collapsed air suspension systems in luxury cars is to fix that one by replacing it with a real spring and shock system which you can buy at www.strutmasters.com if it is economically feasible, then sell it and avoid air suspensions systems like the plague. There are legions of old 70s Citroens still sitting idle 30 years later on collapsed air suspensions systems in garages and barns all over the country which cars the buyers can't let go because they cost so damn much. Get a coleman air mattress and use it every day, see how long it really lasts.

2003 NAVIGATOR AIR RIDE STOPPED WORKING,PUMP CHECKED OK.

The navi has leveling sensors on both axles that are switches and are adjustable. Most likely these are out of calibration. DO NOT attempt to move or adjust these with the vehicle on jack stands. Vehicle could shift and fall resulting in serious injury.
