Odds are the "growling" noise is a bearing on a pulley going out. Could be anything from altenator, steering pump, water pump, but most likely just an idler pulley. You need a mechanics stethascope to diagnose and then just need to replace the proper pulley.

There is a bad bearing in 1 of 4 locations power steering pump, water pump, alternator, or most likely the a.c. compressor. they all run off 1 serpentine belt. by the way it could be a damper pulley also making this noise. time to take it to a service garage before the bad bearing freezes up on you. and i mean quickly. if i read you right, over time!!

Have replaced the passenger side wheel assembly to correct the grinding noise. The hub assembly did not move freely but was stiff and hard to move, Put on a new one and now the Traction System light comes...

I need a little info, year make and model. It sounds like you could have two bad wheel hubs, not uncommon. The abs light may have come on due to an in proper connection of deteriorated wire. A definite problem in the northeast.

Tapping sound in rear quarter panel of vehicle. Can be heard (inside and outiside) and felt, very rhythmic. Not coming from the fan near the additional outlet either.

Here's a link I found helpful for my 05 Expedition. http://expeditionforum.com/showthread.php?t=2324 I was able to pull the C pillar trim (passenger side) away at the top, pried the cupholder out, pulled the rear quarter panel trim out at the top (bent it carefully, just enough to put my hand in), and unplugged the motor, so now the blend is permanently through the top vents, which is fine. If I get to a salvage yard, I can replace it, but it's workable for now.

Both wipers will barely move 2000 impala there was a lough pop when they were working and now the passenger side does not move and the drivers side moves about half way

sounds like the motor is dying and needs to be replaced... that pop you heard was either the linkage coming apart on the passenger side... or the motor again.

Unusual noise

Not really a "solution" but this may move you a step closer to one...Check vacuum operated servo blend motors on the heater box. I would disconnect and plug the vacuum supply line to the dash controls (on the engine side of firewall) and drive it for a while. Obviously, if it's cold out you may not want to do this till summer because heat will not work, but it's worth a try, just to get a location on the problem isolated without taking the entire car apart!!
