I'm buying a 2005 Kia Cerato 1.5 CDRi but i think the clutch is far to low, you have to push the clutch all the way to the floor to change gear, the dealer is telling this is correct. where is the bite/grab/catch on the clutch suposed to be? PLEASE HELP (Had to put kia rio as it wouldn't except cerato)

SOURCE: I have a kia cerato car 2004. it knocks a lot and

First off,its its a petrol engine, I'd advise you to try premium unleaded petrol. That should cure the knocking. The engine light may be indicating over-heating which could be a result of the knocking. Otherwise more info on what the light indicates, is needed.

Kia Cerato 2007 ignition on depress clutch it starts. Clutch fully pressed to floor strange noise let it off approx inch from floor no noise just bought car cheap

I don't know. on most key start cars, when you twist
the ignition key, the engine starts. if you twist the key
again the starter may try to engage again and you will
hear a strange noise. you may have a similar situation
with your clutch start. push to floor to start. release
immediately and don't push it to the floor again.

2007 kia cerato starter keeps engaging ever time you put the clucth in. Runs well but every time you change gears it engages the starter and when ignition is on put the clutch in and the car starts without...

When you push the clutch in ther must be two wires
pinching together, put the vehicle on a lift, with someone
inside it, have them push the clutch. While you or someone inspects for that.

Clutch problem I think

Sound like you may have cracked or broken the Clutch Master Cylinder or the plastic line that runs to the clutch slave which is mounted on the transmission. This causes the fluid to run out therefore you have not got enough fluid pushing the clutch pedal to make it work properly. Check your fluid level and see if its low. If it is, fill with fluid, pump the clutch and look for leaks.

Clutch pedal is very heavy to push down

If the clutch in your car is hydralic there is no way to adjust that type of clutch. That you describe the clutch as being hard to push and that you have to have the clutch "right down on the floor to engage a gear" is an indication that the clutch is worn and needs to be replaced. If the clutch in your car is pushed by a cable, the cable might be adjustable and if that is the case you might get a few more months of use from the car, but the fix is still the same, you will need to get a new clutch put in your car.
