not sure what the issue is you are trying to solve...be a little more specific

Well, a faulty water pump could cause the engine to overheat fairly quickly, but additional pressure in the cooling system is usually caused by a leaking head gasket.

Ckeck to see if thermostateis not upside down

it could be something as simple as the thermostat , did you happen to have the head surface checked for warp when you replaced the gasket ?

Check the fuel pressure - sounds like either a fuel filter, regulator or fuel pump problem.

(step 1 ) the torque specs for the heads are---1998 through 2001 are 37 foot lbs. ( step 2) rotate an additional 90-degrees (1/4 turn). intake manifold bolts ( lower ) step 1-- 62 in-lbs, step 2--115 in-lbs. intake manifold bolts/studs ( upper ) 18 ft-lbs. this is for the 3.1 v-6, have a good day!

3 bolts on power steering pump, but i dont think waterpump has to be removed.

check or put a ground wire on the light. maybe its bad. run from brake light to a suitable ground, to see if it works.

check your serpentine belt it sounds like it may have stretched or broken. Without the belt working properly your car will overheat due to the waterpump not activating and neither will the power steering or alternator
