How do I replace a head light for a 2000 Chevy Malibu

    on top of headlight assembly, there are two plastic slide pins, pull up on these to remove headlight assembly. when putting back on, push in on assembly while putting the slide pins back in to hold assembly.

Under hood on top of headlight assembly, there are two plastic slide pins. pull up on these slide pins to release headlight assembly. then you will have enough of room to change bulbs. when putting assembly back on car, push in on assembly while putting pins back down. to secure headlight assembly.

Need torque specs for 2000 chevy malibu 3.1 cyl heads & intake


(step 1 ) the torque specs for the heads are---1998 through 2001 are 37 foot lbs. ( step 2) rotate an additional 90-degrees (1/4 turn). intake manifold bolts ( lower ) step 1-- 62 in-lbs, step 2--115 in-lbs. intake manifold bolts/studs ( upper ) 18 ft-lbs. this is for the 3.1 v-6, have a good day!

Rear brake light on a 2000 chevy malibu wont work. just the drivers side. passengers side works fine. replaced bulbs but wont work


check or put a ground wire on the light. maybe its bad. run from brake light to a suitable ground, to see if it works.

check your serpentine belt it sounds like it may have stretched or broken. Without the belt working properly your car will overheat due to the waterpump not activating and neither will the power steering or alternator
