Question about 1992 Volkswagen GTI

1 Answer

I have a 93 vw corrado vr6 and it has a problem with maintaining power and starting. I always have to give it a jump to start it up. And like 10mins after shutting the car off and i put the key in the ignition, there is no power at all , wont start and needs another jump. I dont think its because of a bad alternator it battery because the guy i bought it off of said that he recently replaced them. Does anybody else have this problem and can somebody give me suggestions on how to fix this problem?

My 91 vw corrado cooling fan started to run after car is turned off and not when car is running. only after key is off. just started this tonight. i pull the fuse box relay and put it back it stays off....

Sounds like your fan relay needs to be changed. It is freezing in the on position when you turn your car off. Change the relay. Hope this helps, James Booth. PLEASE RATE THIS!!! :)

I need to know which relay is the abs relay on my 1990 corrado

relay 13 is abs pump relay, relay 14 is abs relay
If you look at fuse box, there is a row of fuses, other end row of relays
You need to check second row relays, far left and next right

Seizing brake calliper on Vw Corrado VR6 Storm 1995.

i recomend to go to your local auto parts store and buy rebuild calipers . not much more money than the rebuild kits and they have a warranty.

Vw corrado g60, wont start.

i used to have a golf g60 and had a similar problem, with mine it was the coil lead.
but it could be a number of things? i sold mine due to the amount of problems i had with it aswell !
if the fuel is still in the cylinder then it has to be an electrical problem as its not igniting. are you getting a spark from the plugs? leave one out and get some one to turn the engine and see if the plug is sparking. if its not then its either the coil, rotor arm, dizzy cap or leads.

The automatic gear have a delay in changing the speed number four in model 94 VR6

Maybe a stupid suggestion, but check the oil amount in the gearbox. It must be done with the motor running. I did´nt know that and checked it motor off when the level on the dipstick was fine. When I checked it motor running it was too low. I filled it up and the gearbox works fine...
