Check your owners manual/log books etc for the 4 digit code.previous owners if any would have written it down somewhere.you have 3 attempts before lockout.if this occurs disconnect battery again

if you are talking about the code to unlock the car stario head unit. this is if you have the stock infity head unit you can take it to a dealer and have them look it up for you. most cases this is free.
The radio will have to be removed from the car dashboard .Then please quote the MAKE + MODEL of your radio plus ALL the LETTERS and NUMBERS on any LABELS , BARCODES or STAMPED IN THE METAL CASING. Also quote the MAKE of CAR it is fitted into. Please note: Not all stereo codes can be calculated from the Serial Number
However many VOLVO dealers will give you the code for free if you have the car`s VIN number and radio Serial Number + paperwork
from my knowledge you should only have to enter you last 2 digits of your vin number but that is if your stereo is factory... its just like you engine and tranny the both have numbers on them as well that match the year and model of your vehicle
The module is behind the left hand quarter trim panel. It will have a sticker on it with the 5 digit factory code.
You can also retrieve the number with a scan tool if you know somebody that has one. You have to have one that is able to look at PID data then access the RAP module.
Once you have the factory code you can program any 5 digit code you want by pressing the factory code then the no. 2 button then enter your 5 digit code. This code will remain unless battery goes dead in vehicle.
all newish sterios have a code which you would have to enter before use, this is usually found in the manual for the car if the stereo is factory fitted? if not then youi will have to rely on the previous owner/ person who had it fitted using his/her head and kept a note of this as it is practically impossible to find from manufacturer.
DON'T REMOVE FACTRORY CONNECTORS!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Spend $15 and buy a wiring kit. It plugs right into your vechile wires and the kit tells you what wires are what. Splicing the wires will lead to headaces down the road!!!
