I cannot find the crank sensor

2003 suzuki aerio 2wd will crank, but not start. I mistakenly pulled the battery removing the engine codes. Fuel pump comes on, but can not get fire to plugs. Friend said it might be the crank sensor since it provides signal that lets the coils and fuel pump come one once the crank is turning. I have looked all around the crank area and I cannot find the crank sensor .

SOURCE: Key for my Suzuki Aerio 2003

You don't need to buy a remote from the dealer, you can buy one from ebay or Amazon for about $30, and you can program it yourself. The dealer will charge you $100 to program your remote. (Just remember on the last step make sure you press both the lock and unlock button at the same time).

My 2003 Suzuki Aerio sometimes starts right, sometimes struggles but starts, and occasionally won't start at all. Maybe the starter or ignition switch??

First of all, if the engine turns over, you DON'T need a starter or an ignition switch. Don't fall into the 'let's try replacing this' method of car repair! It is costly and never works.

First replace the cap cap, it is part of the pressurized fuel system and may be the answer to all the issues. $20 from Walmart, or $15 from Napa Auto Parts.

Then connect a code reader and find why that Engine Light comes on. Your vehicle has a computer that records everything that is wrong with it. A cheap code reader gives you the basics, a $5,000 scan tool computer tells you everything, historically and in real time as the vehicle is starting of being driven.

The other thing to check is that the battery is good. Interstate will test for you for free in the parking lot and only takes 2 minutes including the printout. I think AutoZone and Napa also does it.

Engine splutters and dies after driving for several hours. Then I have to wait for an hour before it starts again.

Pull the fault codes in the ECM to see what is causing the problem, It WILL be found in the error code. Does the engine do this when driving down the highway or only when moving slowly or stopped.? An 'oxygen sensor malfunction will NOT cause the engine to stop. Next place to look is the crankshaft position sensor.

It could be a number of things--from a failing fuel pump to a failing ignition component, PULL the FAULT CODE. Don't guess.

Where the fuel filter located suzuki ario 2003

The Fuel Filter is inside the Fuel Tank mounted on the pump at the bottom of the Stalk that holds the Fuel Level Sensor as well. To get to it you must remove the Fuel Tank from the car.

Suzuki Aerio won't turn over

If it cranks it turns over just to clarify.
The plugs may be fuel fouled and not sparking inside the cylinders. Its possible one of the injectors is shorted to ground and making all of the injectors stay open.
I would pull the plugs and see if they are wet or dry, if wet unplug the pump relay and try another set of plugs to dry out the cylinders.
If you can get it started, try putting the pump relay back in.

I have a 2003 Suzuki Aerio and it stopped running. It tries to start but can not get any fire to the spark plugs. Does anyone know what could be wrong?

The fact that your car tries to start tells me that your starter, alternator and battery are all probably good.
If none of your spark plugs are getting spark you probably have faulty spark plug wires, or distributor. Check these two things first. Make sure your wires are securely connected to distributor and plugs. To test them individually, take out the spark plug and leave it in the wire. Turn your car over and check for spark from the plug one cylinder at a time. Do not hold the plug in your hand or you will get a nice shock.

Sometimes my 2003 aerio suskui will crank with no problem. The last few days, sometimes when you try to crank it won't connect. Checked the fuses, fuel pump comes on. what should w check?

Check the negative battery cable from the battery connection to the location where this cable bolts to chassis ground. I had a similar problem and it turned to be a corroded negative battery cable which was attached to the metal chassis frame. I went to AutoZone and bought a new cable for about $12 buck and no more problems. The Aerio's are know to have this cable corrode and cause starting problems. Good Luck.
