Car stalled. restarted and did a

Car stalled..... restarted and did a "chug, chug" motion and acted like it wanted to stall out again. Had to keep pressure on the gas pedal to keep it from stalling. Had the car checked...fuel not getting to the motor and throtle poistion sensor was bad. Had both the fuel pump and tps fixed. Car started beautifully ...after a few minutes of the car running it "chug chugged" again. Car would turn over but would not start and run. Unplugged the throtle position sensor and car started great...but chug chugged again and stalled out. Can't figure out what is wrong...can you help???

I doubt it. You should have the computer checked for trouble codes.
It could be a long list of things including low fuel pressure.

Onwants to stall when first starting when cold out

When the coolant temp.sensor fails it causes the engine to flood and be slow to start.Turn it off and it will restart normally. Change the sensor. The engine will start normally and fuel mileage will improve.

1997 ford f-150 stalls if i sit or idle

Hello;
First we need to ascertain the problem. When the vehicle stalls, does it start up immediately? Does it blow smoke out the exhaust on restart? Before it stalls, does it chug and sputter or act like you turned the key off? ALso, which engine and transmission have yoou in this truck?
Thanks;

Low idle

Here is the most common cause of surges and stalls and low idle rough idle, it is the idle speed control air-bypass valve and throttle valve (IAC for short), they get full of gunk over the miles and cause idle issues (stalls, low idle) like yours, Get a can of intake cleaner from any local parts store, not carb spray, intake cleaner, it is made by a company called CRC, remove the air intake hose to the engine, hold the idle high so the engine won't stall, then spray the can of cleaner into the intake while keeping the engine running, use at least 1/2 the can, shut down the engine and disconnect the battery for 5 minutes, then restart and complete a number of mixed driving cycles, town, freeway, stop and go etc., after a few days the problem will go away as the system will relearn to the clean intake.
