What are the symptoms that lead you to believe your starter is bad? Clicking? Spinning/not engaging? Starter is located on side of motor at transmition, believe it is on passenger side, should be visable from topside when opening your hood.

First start is great, runs smoothly, quietly. If I drive more than 5 k's, it will not restart, for up to 2 hours.

I believe you are saying the car will not start up after you have driven it for a bit and then shut off the engine. It sounds like a bad solenoid in your starter. If this is the case a new starter motor should fix it. If this is not the case then provide a bit more detail.

2000ford ranger replace the solenoid and starter show me wher wires go

Did you take the old solenoid off? By the way, did you know it is usually cheaper to buy the starter with the solenoid attached than to just buy a solenoid? On older models the solenoid is on the firewall, two wires will go on the end of the starter, also I believe it is two wires that go to solenoid. I don't know how to add pictures to this post, but, just Google.....replace starter and solenoid on 2000 Ford Ranger.

What are the bolt and nut locations on a 1992 2WD Toyota Previa?

Hi

There is are 3 bolts securing the starter motor, the starter motor is located under the passenger seat area and should be accessed from under the vehicle. The key is to get the van high enough to be able to slide comfortable under the side of the van to access all bolts, only the bottom bolt has a bolt and a nut the other 2 bolts have threads which secure the starter motor onto the engine there is one bolt at the bottom, one bolt in the middle and one bolt near the very top you will have to undo the 2 x 10mm bolts that hold the dip stick first to be able to get to the middle and top bolt of the stater motor. take your time and have some patience you will get it it just takes practice.

Where is the starter located on a 1992 grand marquis?

Look for a sticker on the driver side door jam.

if your car was made up to 2/92 the starter is on the passenger side of the engine above the oil pan on side of engine block, two bolt's hold starter in place into the transmission housing.

if your car was made after 2/92 the starter is on the driver side also next to the engine block with three bolt's into the transmission housing.

Hope this was very helpful.
