Remove the rubber seal at the bottom of the door. It is ONLY there for aesthetic purposes (I asked the dealership). They said that is common and this is what they do to fix the problem.

Door chime on 2007 chevy uplander will not stop even when the door is closed properly. Is there anyway to disable it without disabling radio

Had this problem for some time. I have had the dealer replace motor etc. Problem still returns. Noticed that the foam seal around the right side door has started flatening out over time and was beginning to spill into the lipped plate that the door sensor buttons possibly could be prevented from making proper contact. Trimmed approx. 3/8 of an inch off the foam in the area of the plate, and the problem seems to have gone away. Hope this helps.

Chevy Uplander (2006) when sliding doors are closed and then van is put into reverse or drive, chimes begin nonstop inside of car. How do i stop them???

One or more of your sliding door may have lost their learned opened/closed position. Also the door may be binding, obstructed or need a latch adjustment. If a relearn is required return to a GM dealership as a diagnostic scan tool is required.

I have a 2006 SV6 with the power sliding doors. The problem that I found was with the contacts on the door ( They are called plungers) the movable pins were losing connection with the fixed part The plunger is very easy to replace if you can find one. The plungers are covered with a rubber cover and is held in place with 2 plastic pins. My Pontiac dealer could not even find one in his books or even a picture of one, and claimed that he had never had anyone come with a door problem. My Chevy dealer said that it came with a wiring harness that is not needed for $154. The cure that I came up with was to take the plunger block apart (it snaps together)and replace the rusted out springs then solder 3" wires to the end of the plunger pins (they solder easy) to the tabs that go to the plug(pop out the tabs or you will melt the plastic. It took about 45 min. now the doors work like new and will never loose contact again

Chevy uplander 2005 and there is a constant beeping that will not go away its constant ..it has to do with the sliding passenger door they say but how do i fix it?

That happens to me all the time!! I just pull over, put it in park, open both sliding doors halfway then close them. This always gets rid of the problem. It's happening because one of the doors isn't catching correctly when it closes and once u hit a bump or anything you will here the dinging.

2006 Chevy Uplander. The power sliding doors won't shut

2 possible solutions. First clean the door pin contacts(multiple spring loaded pins on door side and matching plate on body) with a scotch pad until shiny gold color again. Second the rear edge of the door should be 1mm inside the body opening when closed. If those are correct it is going to take a software download from a dealer to the door control module to fix this. Otherwise you will have to pull the psd fuse and breaker from the right side dash fuse box.
