Lost keys... cheaper to replace ignition than to order keys... cant remove tumbler assymbly.. 98 honda civic

It might pay you to call a locksmith. Good ones know how to get into cars and they usually know how to get the codes needed to cut you a new key. That might cost you about $15 depending versus all the hassle for you.

Engine will not start (honda civic 98 ek with a d16 swap)

ok i got a kind rig way to get you going is goto radio shack get what is called a potentiometer(pot) on you immobilizer wires unless you can get them from column hook it up (pot) them turn key and to start hold there and turn (pot) till it turns over when it does turn off key use a ohm meter disconnect wires from (pot)and measure resistance and go back to radio shack and buy a resistor of that value and solder it in the wires you hooked the (pot) to. that should get you back up again.

My honda accord 98 key will not turn

First, is the steering wheel cranked one way very tightly ? you may have to pull the steering wheel very hard to unlock the steering wheel lock, if not Do you have any other keys for the car ? If so try them, if they do not work then you will have to replace the key tumbler assembly.

check your wiring for dirty connections or broken wires, you may have wires that are rubbed through or connectors that are not making full contact. you will need an ohm meter and check wires for continuity. a wiring diagram will be needed.

I can't turn the key in the ignition in my 98 honda civic. i know the car starts b/c i have remote start and used it. i checked that the wheel isn't locked and the car is in park.

You may need a new ignition key cylinder or your key grooves may have worn down and no longer mesh with your ignition cylinder. Good luck. Mark
