Does the 1995 toyota tercel 2D sedan use different keys for the trunk/ignition/door? I lost my keys and am getting new ones made but I can't remember what exactly I need!

The seats don't fold down but you may be able to pull the upright part of hte back seat out enough to fish a pole in and grab the keys. Otherwise locksmith($60 or so usually). In my experience the dealer will cost a few hundred for a new key. For a 26 year old car, Id even break the trunk lock with a flat head screwdriver.
Is the plug the/ same on the back of the switch is the key worn out
tell kea little more what's different is the white back part of the
switch in all the way so the cyclometer turns within .
well it depends where the key is broken if it's a door simply remove the lock and bang the **** out of it till the key falls out then take both parts of key and get a new one cut but if it is an ignition than u are in the **** the bes bet is to try using a set of dental picks there fairly cheep and easy to find or if thats not an option than it's off to the lock smith you go they can come to you but it will cost you more like 100 more for mobile
option 3 remove steering columb and take it to lock smith they will laugh but it wont cost as much as mobile service now if youcan get the ignition to turn you can remove the cylinder and take just that part to smith
but eithor way it is likely you and the local lock smith are about to become friendly also if you have a spare key take it with you when you go to the smith so worst case he can drill lock and re key to old key
Hello. Welcome to FixYa. No, it is not normal for the car to have an ignition key and a seperate door key. If the door key works all of the doors and the trunk, someone, for some reason, has changed the ignition, which comes with a new (different) key when replaced.
Sounds like somewhere along the life of your jeep someone changed the ignition cylinder, resulting in your having two separate keys. You will have to replace the ignition cylinder and all or maybe just the one driver's side door lock cylinder. There's really no way one key will work with both your existing ignition and door locks. Another suggestion is that you can get a complete matching set of locks and keys from someone who's parting out their Grand Cherokee, so you would then have only one key for all the locks.
I did a key code search on a 1993 toyota corolla . The key code was located on the passenger front doors lock cylinder (door lock tumbler). You have to disassemble the door panel and remove the lock cylinder from the door to read the tiny numbers on the lever of the lock cylinder..I would recommend calling your local toyota dealer and confirming it is on the lock cylinder before tearing apart the door....You would have to give them the code to get a new key cut. hope this info helps..
