What parts should I buy to tune up my 2001 sls

is this an extended cab ,4wd,automatic or manual transmission ,,studdering can be anything from needing a tune up --tires balanced -motor mount-suspension- c/v axle --u-joints torque converter-rear -transmission clutch-4wd components etc

Something inside the transmission. TCC solenoid/valve could be a cause. Have the codes checked, even if the check engine light isn't on.

you probably have a bad fuel level sensor in the fuel tank.you will have to remove the fuel tank to replace the sensor.the contacts on the sensor will break causing the fuel gauge to be inacurate.you can buy the sensor without having to buy the whole fuel pump assembly.

First question: When was last "healthy" tune up? Plugs, plug wires, ALL filters especially FUEL filter? I'd start there, giving yourself a good base/ "ground zero" starting point. 90% of stalling issues are maintenance related. If it continues after tune up, run a good fuel system cleaner through it, then have a good local parts store IE: Advance, Autozone, etc... do a FREE OBII (fault scan) that will pull all faults computer has logged,

Well, the first thing one should check is the transmission fluid level. Add Dexron ATF to the transmission until full when the vehicle is at normal operating temperature after 30 or 40 minutes of driving.

Secondly, if the car's transmission hasn't been flushed and filled in 30,000 mi. it's recommended that you do so as normal maintenance. This service typically costs about $100 or so.

If the car only runs forward but not reverse, a solenoid may be plugged up with clutch dust, or it's shorted out and needs to be replaced. However, tearing down a transmission on a 2001 Cadillac Seville is rather expensive, in the thousands of dollars.

One might consider getting a good used transmission that has a guarantee on it and have it installed, or have the one in it rebuilt.

never come across this before and i would need to see the engine layout to work out what could be causing it but if its low oil pressure then add a tin of STP or wynns and see what happens

the car is in limp mode. it either needs a wheel speed or output speed sensor somewhere or the transmission is bad

you buy lowering springs but then you till need performance struts with the hard setting so you wont scuff your tires, or you can buy coil overs then you can adjust to your taste or whatever you prefer coil overs are the best way to go
