Toyota estima engine light stays on after muffler pushed in ,in minor crash,now straightened, should I disconnectect battery for 24hrs to reset or something else,van runs well but hard to start when cold.

Check your cables neg to engine block, positive to starter. Spark, fuel, oxygen needed to start. You ruled out battery, next place after cables is your starter.
security light. should not run down a battery. check state of health on battery and see if something else is staying on. trunk light or other accessori.

Hi dude just remove the small rubber bung on the dash board left hand corner.then with a small long pin or something press the reset button in there and the light should go of for another 20,000ks hope this helps cheers
usually when this occurs (engine light) the ecm has detected some type of failure with one or components of the engine. ur gonna need to have a diagnostic scan done to determine the source. If the vehicle is OBD certified autozone part stores will do it for free. to be sure that its not just a minor "hickup" u can reset yous car's ecm urself by disconnecting the positive battery for 1 minute. if the engine light returns then i would have a diagnostic scan done.
