Relative had a 60 galaxy and found the ground wire in back coming from tail lights had bad rusted connection. They were connected to body. Check power and ground connection. Check fuses the link below looks like separate fuses for turn signals and emergency flashers I think you have separate flasher for both also. I saw on one link they suggested trying to swap flasher to see if you had a change. I believe the link said the emergency flasher is heavier duty but for the most part the same.

The parking lights, dash lights, turn signals, and hazard flasher should be 4 different circuits. So you would need to know exactly what that fuse protects, then look for the short to ground.
remove all 4 corner lamps. add just on new lamp. yes, fuses car short, sometimes fuse will blow.
if this fails. then diagnose, that.
why own a car that GM will not support? your problem is easy to fix. but GEOs wow.
if the new lamp fails (1 installed) then see if dash lamp flashes with no corner lamps. moder flasher will flash with small loads, or up to 7 lamps. or more. usually a shorted lamp cause blown fuse or the flasher flashing hyper fast. (geos usually do this) you next need to find out if a test lamp works on the output side of the combo flasher, at the connector.
keep an open mind, cut wires, shorted wires. blow fuse, some fuses look good and are not ! hair line cracks.! happen.
But if they look bad , they always are. see? only a continuity check(low ohms) checks them. bad shorted lamps. bad flasher mod. bad comb switch, (turns sig sw) no the missing test. does the emergancy falser work> y/n cycle this switch the are infamous to get stuck half way. really.
pickup a test light and check all the fuse if the fuses are good then you probably have a bad signal flasher.make sure you change the signal flasher and not the emergency flasher as they look the same.
you have a high pressure oil leak most likely caused by a blown out o-ring in
one of your oil rail block off plugs. it is possible that it may be an injector,
but i am banking on a blown out o-ring. good-day !!
Look in the manual in the glove box, if you do not have one buy one on ebay or at a junkyard. It will show you the location of the fuse panels. The turn flasher will be plugged into one of them. There will be two, the other identical unit is the emergency flasher unit. If you turn the fuse panel cover over and look inside you will find a legend stamped in it. You can get flashers at autozone and advance way cheaper than a dealer.
hi...
there is a relay which connects turn indicator and the emergency flashers which is provided for the timing of the flash.this timer relay may got burnt or damaged. even though the fuses are OK the turn indicators wont work. please check this.
please rate me weather the information which i provided was usefukll to you by clicking on the thumbs present on the end of your page.thank you
What exactly do you mean by everything ese works?
Do you have directionals indicating on the instument panel?
do you have front signals and no rear or vice versa or do you not have any directionals and no emergency flashers?
If you do not have any type of flasher you need to replace the flasher relay in the fuse panel.
If you have emergency flashers and your front signal work but rear do not the primary culprit may be the integrated circuit board that are attached to the composite tail lenses. You can buy the circuit board portion seperate from the tail lense and at a cheaper rate than buying the whole unit. Dealers try to sell the unit as a whole so you might want to pursue other avenues first..
