Trying to replace a radio in an Nissan Almera n16 (2003), I Is it possible to replace this radio, or because the dash radio/Air-con is all the one?

Look at the bezel around the radio. It just pops off. If it goes up around the instrument panel, look for screws around there. Under the bezel, there will be screws to remove.

How do you get the stock radio deck out of a 1991 buick park avenue?

*It's a bit tricky but not difficult, if you know how the dash in the Park Avenue is put together. But before you do anything, safety first. *Disconnect the negative cable from the battery before doing any electrical work on a car. This prevents shorting out your cars electrical system.

*If you own the 90 -91 Park Avenue model, simply pull off the decorative trim away from the radio to expose the torq screws that hold the radio into the dash. You will need a torq screwdriver of the right size to remove the radio.
Available from your local autoparts store.

*If you own the 91-92 model, it's a whole different ball game. This since the dash is much more tightly compacted. It's a combination of a snap together assembly and Torq screws. The dash is held together in columns or sections.

*The torq screws on these models are hidden behind the heater vents in the upper dash. First pry the wooden trim (Which surrounds the climate control module) on the bottom of the dash off, gently but firmly until it comes free, exposing the Torq screws on the lower dash. Remove the heater vents (hiding the upper screws ) by popping them out with a straight blade screw driver. Then remove all Torq screws visible to the eye, only from the column that is holding is holding the radio in place.

*You will then be able to remove the black colored plastic off the dash to expose the radio. (Use care when removing the lower dash column as some climate control and airbag sensors might be embedded).

*Remove all Torq screws holding the radio in place, (and keep track of all screws) pull the radio out of the dash, and disconnect electrical connectors. If you'll be replacing the stock radio with a non factory radio, make sure all electrical connection watch up, since security feature in the radio are integrated into the radio. (some of these effect basic function on your vehicle like the headlights) If you will be reinstalling the stock radio, you will have to have it unlocked by the dealership. The DelcoLoc system will now think the radio is stolen, because of it's internal security features. Installation is the reverse of removal.

Hope this helps.

Changing out the radio on 1996 buck century

Remove the hex screws from the lower section of the dash, under the steering column. This will reveal more screws that hold the wood tone panel down. There are more screws visible just under the top of the dash, look carefully as the upper screws, so you do not remove more than you need. Carefully, twist the woodtone panel around the steering column and remove. You will see 2 more hex screws to the right of the radio that hold the black plastic cover just to right of the radio. Carefully pop that cover off to reveal 2 more screws that hold the radio in place. Remove those 2 and the 2 on the left and you can pull the radio forward to unhook the harness and antenna wires.

My cd player will not accept cd's (the tray inside will not come down) so I think I'll have to buy one from a salvage car - Question is (1)any thoughts on fixing the existing cd (2) how would I go about...

REMOVE THE RADIO FUSE FOR ABOUT 30 SECONDS THIS MAY RESET THE RADIO/CD PLAYER.

IF YOU DO INSTALL ANOTHER RADIO IT WILL HAVE TO BE PROGRAMMED AT A DEALER.

REMOVE THE COVERS ON THE SIDES OF THE DASH.

REMOVE THE GLOVE BOX ASSEMBLY.

REMOVE THE KNEE BOLSTER UNDER THE STEERING COLUMN.

PUT ON THE PARK BRAKE AND SHIFT THE CAR INTO NEUTRAL.

REMOVE THE BEZEL AROUND THE RADIO, CHECK THE LOWER CORNERS FOR SCREWS, PULL OUT CAREFULLY ON THE BEZEL.

REMOVE THE RADIO.

How to remove the radio - 1996 Nissan Maxima QX cd/c assette play

If the unit has 4 small holes on the face, get a wire hanger and insert into all 4 holes at once, releasing the retaining clips.
If unit does not have 4 holes on face, remove dash panel around stereo. This can be done by simply pulling the panel off, as it is only held on with "pop in" clips. The unit will be hard fastened to the car with screws and brackets that are easily accessable and will be visible when the dash panel is removed.

CD not working

First remove the trim where the top vents are located above the radio there are no screws just pull. Next there are two 10 millimeter bolts that hold the top of the radio remove them. Next remove the ash tray or tray next to the cigarette lighter (under the radio and climate controlls). there will be a 7 millimeter or 9/32 screw through a hole (behind where you removed the ashtray) remove this screw then you will be able to remove the trim below the radio and climate controlls. Next remove the 10 millimeter bolts on the bottom of the radio cluster, you will now be able to remove the radio and climate controll cluster. BE CAREFULL NOT TO SCRATCH YOUR DASH SHIFT LEVER OR RADIO CLUSTER. In most cases there is a 10 amp fuse on the back of the radio. Chances are it is not blown and you are on to the next step. Remove the cd player out of the cluster there will be a part# on it google it and there is a good chance you will find one available. Either way the are available you just have to find them you may have to search electronic parts houses to find what you need. Good luck!

Cd player

remove ash tray one screw behind there, then remove top dash panel that goes from end to end across dash this just snaps off pull upward to remove you will see 2 screws on top of trim around radio remove these 2 and then dash trim will pull off pull straight back then radio can be removed should be held in by 2 10mm bolts, this should cover 80% of the radios (important TIP) if it still doesn't come out the trick is some of the wranglers have an extra security bar on stock cd players only you will see 2 more 10mm bolt on the top of the dash where you removed the 2 screws from earlier these hold a bracket that is mounted to the back of the cd player once they are unbolted you can remove the radio it takes some pulling and tweaking of the brackets but it will come out
