Engine light came on once before plugs changed went away now back on steady this time not blinking has loss of power with pedal to floorboard then comes in but when comea to a stop idles like going to die

May be a faulty thermostat or the thermostat sensor. Change the thermostat first it's a lot cheaper, unplug the neg battery terminal for 10 minutes to allow the code to erase and check it again. Good luck

Your Po449 code means: Evaporative Emission (EVAP) Vent Solenoid Control Circuit. Check to see if anything on you EVAP system has gotten disconnected and make sure that none of your hoses have gotten old and bridle or have holes. If everything looks ok, you probably have to replaced the Vent Solenoid Valve, which is located on the EVAP canister.

That is a hard problem to pin point without knowing what codes the computer has stored. It can be any number or sensors or engine problems.

You can go to most auto parts stores and they will pull the codes for you for free.
