99 silverado...the engine light comes on and once it comes on it starts to sputter when idling whether in park or in drive and when starting to take off sometimes but then the light will go off and she runs fine...any suggestions???? thanks

It only lasted a second or so before it would actually rev up.
run the fault codes . Check for idle speed sensor and MAF sensor. It should be idling around 900rpm and the oil light coming on ( assuming you have enough oil in the sump) will be because of the very low idle rpm not pumping enough oil to maintain pressure.
try turning ur idle up its the pin on the throtle body just make sure u tuen the engine off and on again fter each adjustment to reset ur computer on ur engine
check to make sure catylitic convertor is not plugged. if it is ok, then put a code scanner on to read codes, may have a bad 02 sensor. if you dont have a scanner, most auto parts places will scan vehicles for free.
