My 2002 T&C van did the same thing. Here is how I fixed it:

Open and remove the catch that holds the glove box. Behind the glove box you'll see the air duct system. Directly in front of you notice the part with screws holding it in place on the duct and wires plugged in. This is a control for the heating and A/C system. Depending on your type of system controls, (manual, you adjust temperature or automatic, you set digital temperature) you can replace this unit. Unplug the unit, remove screws and remove control unit. Take part to NAPA Auto Parts for a replacement part. They had the manual part about $25.00. Mine has the automatic controls and I had to go to dealer for replacement, mine cost about $65.00. This is easy to do and fixed my "out of control heating and A/C system".

My 2002 Chrysler town and country blower fan works when ignition is in accessory mode but when car is running there seems to be a great draw on the engine. Do you know what might be wrong?

In accessory mode you won't notice the high current draw because the alternator is out of the circuit and the engine is not running. With the engine running, you will see the excessive draw on the volt/amp gauge. If bad enough it will pull the idle RPM down a bit.

Your blower motor is bad or the wiring has deteriated to the point of causing a high current draw. A good auto tech (or knowledgeable friend with a DVOM and amp gauge) can diagnose the problem in 10 minutes.

The heater squeels when on the high setting and does not work on any other setting I am trying to find an online guide on how to change the blower motor or is it the blower motor resistor? its for a 2002...

Blower motor is bad. Resistor controls speed. Motor is so worn out that it will only turn when set on high. Best to replace it before it burns out something else due to the high current draw.

2001 Chrysler Town & Country air conditioner/heater blows on high only. We have replaced the front blower relay and it still doesn't work. The back blower is the same.

THE REASON THE BLOWER ONLY WORKA ON HIGH IS BECAUSE OF SOMETHING CALLED THE BLOWER MOTOR RESISTOR. THIS IS A BLOCK WITH ABOUT THREE DIFFERENT RESISTORS ON IT WHICH CONTROL THE AMOUNT OF VOLTAGE THAT REACHES THE BLOWER MOTOR THUS GIVING YOU YOUR DIFFERENT SPEEDS.
THIS BLOCK IS USUALLY LOACATED BEHIND THE GLOVE BOX AND IS BOLTED TO THE HEATER HOUSING.

2002 Chrysler Town and Country Rear Heat/Air only on High

most of the time the resistor is located downwind of the blower motor so it should be not to fao from the blower motor in the right rear of the van behind the quater trim panel which is the hvac unit is located

2002 town & country blower motor will not

In order to achieve different speeds for the fan motor, there is a bank of resistors that reduce the voltage depending on what speed is selected. This is basicaly the same design for all cars on the road. The fail mode causes the full voltage to bypass the resistor bank so the fan runs at high speed (maybe even higher than your normal high setting). On most newer vehicles, including your '02 T&C, to help keep the resistors cool, they are mounted to a heatsink and then that assembly is mounted in a hole in the A/C ductwork just below or behind the glovebox. My '02 T&C has the 3 zone auto temp control and it had a fancier resistor block, but the function is the same. You should be able to get the cheaper one for <$25 at a parts store.

Front climate control blower only works on high speed.

Replace your blower motor resistor
Resistor located under dash on passenger side in screwed into blower housing. May be able to be repaired. Requires soldering a small piece of "unmelted solder" across where the old fusible link was. look carefully at resistor. Or else just replace. Buy new. Junkyard resistor likely to be as bad as yours.
