There have been too many bad radio code entrys and the radio is now locked out. To clear this you must remove one of the battery cables for about 30 seconds. After reconnecting the battery you enter the code for the radio. If the code is incorrect or entered out of sequence you will get an error message. Too many bad entrys and the radio will lock out. Your local dealer sould be able to help with this for little or no expence. If the code is incorrect they can get it for you easily by accessing the radio serial number through the radio itself, without removing the radio. They can use this information on line with Honda to get you the correct code.

I HAVE A 2005 HONDA ACCORD. I CLEANED MY BATTERY CABLE AND WHEN I WENT TO START IT-- IT FLASHED CODE ACROSS MY RADIO. ALL YOU DO IS CALL THE HONDA DEALER ASK FOR HONDA SERVICE AND TELL THEM YOU NEED YOUR RADIO CODE. GIVE THEM YOUR RADIO SERIAL NUMBER . YOU CAN GET THIS YOURSELF BY TURNING YOUR CAR RADIO OFF, HOLD DOWN THE 1 & 6 BUTTON AND WHILE YOU ARE HOLDING DOWN THOSE TWO BUTTONS HIT THE POWER BUTTON AND IT WILL FLASH AN 8 DIGIT NUMBER ACROSS YOUR RADIO. GIVE THAT TO THE DEALER OVER THE PHONE AND SHE/HE WILL BE ABLE TO GIVE YOU YOUR RADIO CODE OVER THE PHONE RIGHT THEN. TAKES ONE PHONE CALL..

Honda civic gli radio replacement won't work

Dannielle, if the previous owner installed the radio, it must have worked. It is possible that error code may have no connection with the replaced radio which may work when connected to battery. It depends on the complexity of the new radio. If it is simple, s/b ok.

My stereo says error 12 my ford cd6000 says error 12 when i try to play a cd.... I have changed the battery also, so it has been reset since this....

error code 12 is "communications error" Ford manual says replace radio. You may remove the radio open it and check for bulging capacitors, go directly to manufacturer webpage for a replacement capacitor.

1998 Honda Accord EX stereo/CD player has Code E on the screen... What is the cause of this and what can I do to fix it?

Unfortunately 90% of the time when you get error codes from the CD player/changer it means that there is a mechanical failure in the CD player/changer unit itself and it usually requires CD player/changer rebuild or replacement...
First make sure you have entered the correct anti-theft code. If battery power has been disconnected recently than the stereo display will read CODE if the incorrect anti-theft code is entered the display will read ERR1 thru ERR3. If this is the case you'll have to get the correct anti-theft code. Note; If you enter the incorrect code three times the stereo locks up. Disconnect the battery for more than 30 seconds and then retry.
FYI;Never use adhesive labels or protective disc covers on recordable CD's. Recordable CD's are actually thicker than pre-recorded CD's. Automotive players and changers use rollers to draw the disc into the unit. The added thickness of an adhesive label or protective disc cover may cause the disc to jam. Also CD players and changers are exposed to high temperatures inside the vehicle. High temp will cause the labels adhesive to soften which may cause the labels edges to curl or cause it to bubble. Either one may cause the disc to jam and cause the player to display error codes E-01 thru E-07. If the player can not be disassembled and have the discs removed successfully than it will have to be replaced. -hope this helps.

Stereo error code "focus error" cd's plays for 2 to 3 minutes and gives the error code. seems to be consistent with all cd's regardless of their condition

Try disconnecting the battery for a few minutes. No guarantees but this might reset it. If it contunues then I really do not know what to tell you. Seems a lot of these are doing the same things. Easier to replace it with the stereo of your choice

Hello, I have a recent Ford Focus with 6000CD RDS which frequently reports ''CD ERROR''. I've taken it in to the service center and they reset it and gave me a code as well as a tool to remove the unit to...

The 4 digit code is to unlock the stereo if the stereo is asking for the code.
If your stereo is working fine then just ignore it but keep the code safe, if your battery ever gets disconected or you remove stereo and put it back in then you will need the code to unlock it again.
