How to replace spark rear plugs?

The front are easy to get it is the back one are hard, i do them on a lift from the bottom, some times the sparkplug wire boots are hard to get off and then getting socket on the plug and removing is a little tough. good luck.

Is it getting any spark to the sparkplugs?

I recently did the 6 plugs on our 2005 with the 3.8 engine.

It took an hour to do the rears, and 15 min to do the fronts.

Make sure the engine is cold, and put some no seize on the plugs before you install them.

I took my time and started with the pass side rear by reaching around behind. You can see the rear bank much better than on the 96-2000 models.

Use the factory Champion plugs for best results.

If you can not see the 3 spark plugs from on top with your own eyes that you might have to use ramps underneath the front tires and go underneath the car to see if you can get to them this way. In some vehicles like my daewoo car has a plastic cover that I had to first take off so you can retrace the spark wires from the coil to the spark plugs so use a flashlight to see. If you are replacing to make sure if your vehicle has the right spark plugs and are gapped to your cars specs before replacing them.

My information says to remove the windshield wiper/motor module assembly from the vehicle for access to the spark plugs on the firewall side. When We owned our '99 Grand Voyager, I put the front up on jack stands and got the back three plugs from underneath.

If it's a four cylinder it has four spark plugs.
If it's a six cylinder (V-6) then it has six spark plugs.

Use a socket wrench and a plug socket. They can be purchased at any hardware store. The back ones always are the worst you just want the engine to be nice and cold and take your time.

In order to start the engine,you must has air,fuel and spark.

Check air clean for dirty filter.

Check gas gauage.

Check each spark plugs for foul (wet) condition.

Check spark

If all else fail, check compression on all cyclinder.

Yes, these are tough to get at from the top. Put the front on jack stands or ramps, and you can reach them a little easier from the bottom. You just need to reach up where the exhaust pipe comes down, and you can even see what you're doing this way.

a lot of pain and heart ache. even on a rack they are a pain . check with your dealer there wae a recall on them for failing its worth the phone call to see kdc744
