Here is a link to a factory repair manual for model year 94, it is the same car as fact as mechanical go and electrical systems, look up the wiring and find the common power source for the things that don't work.. You will need a RAR file extractor tool, you can download one free on the internet. http://diyservicemanuals.com/nissan-maxima-service-repair-manuals

hey i just fixed mine with the same exact problem, look, all you have to do is open your 3rd fuse box which is next to your washing fluid on the passenger´s side under the hood, for that you need to remove the cover wich is pretty easy (5 staples all you need is a thin flat screw driver to lift the center of the staple and then the whole staple) then you take off the cover and then you open the fuse cover, you are looking for the TAILLIGHT fuse wich is the first on the upper row from right to left if you are standing on the passenger side looking towards the drivers side (you can also look for that fuse in the fuse box cover diagram) remembre is a 15A fuse, replace it, jaja and thats how you save some dollars. saludos desde guadalajara mexico.

Well, to accurately determine the problem as fast as possible you could perform a ECU diagnostics.Located Here: http://www.nicoclub.com/articles.php?id=249406check and verify the diagnostic meaning using the FSM (Factory Service Manual)Located here: http://300zx-twinturbo.com/cgi-bin/manual.cgiWhen your fiance replaced the radio, there is a ground wire that will be behind the radio bevel (the face plate around the bevel) this is just clipped in and can be removed by simply pulling -- be careful they can crack easily. After you remove the bevel, look around for any grounding wires that have been removed. On average a shop will charge you $60 approx to correct this issue. (Based off of my local area)If what i recommended didnt help, check the ECU diagnostics, it's very easy to perform and will give you an exact description of where to look for your problem =) If you need further help (same goes for anyone) email me at [email protected] Regards,Kyle

First off - 125K mi is nothing on that car (as long as you maintain it). The alternator is actually also the voltage regulator and this aspect of the alternator frequently fails before the actual alternator itself does and causes irregular voltage - so it makes sense you drove without the battery connected but you probably were having irregular power instead of a nice steady 14V (the other thing to know is that even if they do show 14V all the time the amperage may differ, both problems = change the alternator).

if the problem is that the interior light does not work, and have already checked the fucibles and appear well or not, housed the correct fuse. Just disconnect the battery cable and connect buelbelo .. and you will be surprised to see that your lights funcionana. I do not believe it but I worked it costs nothing to test.
