Try checking fuse, relay of related system. Example fuel pump fuse and relay. For starter motor, check gear position is in P or N position or not.

What engine does it have 2.2 l , 2.4 l Does it have good compression ? Timing belt or timing chain ? Jumped time . What model saturn ?

You may have some major engine damage.
Is the engine oil level normal ? Can you turn the crank by hand ?

Start with fuel system. Listen for fuel pump humm at fuel tank No humm check wiring to pump for power. Then check for spark at plugs and wires. Remove wire from coil and hold near engine and see arch when you crank. No arch. Replace ignition Modular inside distributor cap or cap or rotor

You have a security issue now. Most likely you will have to get a scanner to do a relearn unless you can find a manual way to do it. Try putting the key in, turn on and wait 30 minutes. It may need time to learn the key.

It might not have enough fuel pressure. Try spraying carb cleaner into the throttle body when you crank it to see if it fires.
