SOURCE: 1986 chevy camaro heater core. Do i have to pull

Sorry to hear you're having problems with this.
In short YES you HAVE to remove the dashboard.

Please take many digital pics along the way and save the bolts that are alike in sandwich bags. Save all bolts in bags of some kind - having a camera will save you a lot of pulled out hair - seriously - use a camera if possible. Pros do until they know the procedure well.
I personally remove the passenger seat but most people don't - todays seats are easy so I pull them out.

Best of it

if your rubber hoses are cracked and leaking then replace the hoses with proper size and length.
if the hoses are leaking where they connect to the metal fittings from the heater core then try and tighten up the hose clamps -- they could just be loose.

Why does my 1995 chevy camaro not blow out hot air? i've changed the thermostat, it has a new radiator and hose, and new water pump. the heater core seems to be fine.

use your hand on both hoses into and out of the heater core to see that they are hot. if not the core is plugged and needs to be replaced. before you do that squeeze the hose upper and lower and the heater core hoses to make sure there is no air trapped in the system. be very very careful of the fan while you are doing this.

I have a 1990 Camaro, I had the heater disconnected - cost was $150, they said to replace it with a new heater would be over $800 - is this a fair price ?- The car is not worth more than $1,000

if you mean to replace a heater core,
the heater core is about $40.00 from Autozone,So the $150.00 is labor, this job can be done in one hour and at shop rates today that would be $50.00,
you need to buy the heater core yourself and find another shop.

I need to know how to route and hook up the hoses from the heater core to the motor on a 1989 rs camaro, v-6, w/ac

does not matter which goes where on the heater core one from water pump straight to heater core and the other comes from the intake manifold, they both travel below the passenger side valve cover.

2002 CAMARO WITH NO HEAT. BLOWS AIR OUT THE VENTS BUT NOT WARM

look under the hood and follow the heater hoses into the firewall. after the car has warmed up, feel the metal tip of the heater core lines that come into the engine compartment. If both of these are hot than your heater core is working and your hot/cold door is stuck inside the car. When the heater core is plugged you will have a noticeable temperature difference between the in and out lines of the heater core.

My 2002 dodge caravan has a wet front passenger side floor

Do you have A/C on your Caravan?
It may for a blocked A/C drain tube.
Look under the passenger area from under the vehicle for the drain area and clear the tube.......just go as high into the tube as necessary to clear it .....if you go too high you could damage the evaporator in the heater,A/C assembly and....watch out for water coming your way!

How do you bypass the heater core on a 1989 Chev. Camaro 5.0

take the inlet hose to the heater core and connect it with the outlet hose on the heater core, thus creating a by-pass. you may be able to follow the hoses back to the aterpump and engine block and make a shorter run of it.

Heater core needs to be changed

when your heater core goes bad, generally it leaks inside the car and can leave a odor of antifreeze. It can effect colling of the engine...so I would change it.

It is behind the dash..but not a huge deal..take your time some saturday afternoon & youll have it
