You are a 1990 Oldsmobile sihouette with a 3.1 these vehicle are speed density in other word you are equipt with a MAP (manifold air pressure) when this sensor fails you loose the ability to accelerate or hesitate as you accelerate make sure the vacuum hose is connected to it and it is no leaking vacuum if the hose is okay and it is electrically connected correctly your fix is to replace the MAP sensor
take it to a GM dealer and ask them to tell you what is wrong and how much to fix it. will be either the heater core or the cool air blender mechanism. make your call if it is worth it to you. i would take it to a private repair shop to get the work done, they have much lower labor rates.
If you have already purchased the replacement flasher...then you know what it looks like...the location is usually under the drivers side dashboard to the left of the steering column...how do you know the flasher is bad...also some owners manuals help with location in the glossary...
After you have made the repairs go back to Advance Auto and have them remove this stored trouble code .Most places will remove them from your computer for free.
There real pain to get to. There on the back side between the engine and the fire wall. You may be able to reach one or two from the top. Anything else would have to be reached from the bottom. These are difficult to change even on a lift, so don't get discouraged. If you're working in a garage or driveway this will be exponentially harder for you. But, it is very possible. Make sure you take your time and don't force anything. Those plugs could be very brittle and may break off in the cylinder head.
