2001 dodge caravan 3.3l v6 dtc 0700 & 0740

My caravan ran out of gas. I now get dtc 0740 & 0700, and the engine runs fine in park or nuetral, but shutters in gear. I have cleaned the injectors, but no change. The tranny fluid is full, and it shifts smoothly once is gets "moving". t higher speeds the shuttering diminishes greatly. Any ideas?

If it ran out of gas you may have sediment in the fuel lines causing rough running which may trigger a transmission code due to improper vacuum due to the rough running.

Dtc 0700 jerks when shifting from reverse to drive

The transaxle Control Module (TCM) monitors the malfunction of sensors and actuators relating to transaxle control. When the TCM detects a malfunction with the control, a signal is send to the Engine Control Module (ECM) to trigger the Engine Light or Service Engine Soon light. The ECM stores the P0700 code and it means the TCM detected a malfunction with the transaxle controls.

Why dose gas come out of tail pipe 2001 .3,3L

It's not possible for liquid gasoline to come out of the tailpipe - however, due to chemical processes that take place inside the engine and in the exhaust system which are too in-depth to explain here, it is very common for water to come out of the tail pipe - especially on cooler more humid days.

2001 dodge caravan 3,3L

I was working for a company that used 1995 Caravan's for their sales force and I do not know of any sensor. I am confused by the term "cover".

Do you mean valve cover? If so does the sensor go somewhere? I can solve your problem, but I need move info. Please call or email me.

Either, way let me know the outcome. Your feed back is my only reward. Also, please rank my answer with as many thumbs as you think I should get.

I get codes p0700 and p0740 on a dodge grand

P 0700 = EATX (Electronic Automatic Transmission Communication) Controller DTC Present. = An automatic transmission input DTC has been set in the transmission controller.
P 0740 = Torque Converter Clutch. No RPM Drop at Lockup. = Relationship between engine speed and vehicle speed indicates no torque converter clutch engagement.

Yes the Fluid and Filter Change should take care of this. However, Dodge, Chrysler, and Plymouth Minivans have had alot of Transmission problems over the years. Make sure that whomever changes the Transmission Fluid that they use exactly what is specified. Also, do not let any Mechanic talk you into a Superflush of the Transmission. This procedure does not change the Filter.

1994 Dodge Grand Caravan 3.0 V6 Runs fine for about 10 min after that engine bogs down like it is not getting gas. I have replaced the fuel filter, map sencor, and fuel pressure regulator as was suggested...

Have you put a pressure gauge on and then drive to see if pressure drops. If it does it is likely the pump. Sometimes these problems lead to it being the computer.

Dodge caravan not starting

Google them or call the dealer or a place like autozone for the code info. I checked those codes & maybe you typed them wrong, they aren't in chrysler format & are meaningless at this point. Check the fuel pressure.

2001 dodge caravan 3.3 engine

See my previous post under my 2001 Dodge Caravan by Jeff Bellucci. I had the exact same problem and had it towed in and determined it was a "bad wire" connecting the PCM. Repairs were relatively inexpensive at $181 and has been running fine for about a month since repairs.
