I have been going through blower motor resistor's on my 1999 chrysler concorde. When I change it it works on all fan speeds. But in a few weeks it goes bad and will only work on high speed.

The blower relay is for high speed fan only most of the time . Do you know how to test electrical circuits ? It sure cuts down on buying unneeded parts . Here watch this video , this is a Chrysler vehicle . Don't know what you have , doesn't matter . They all work pretty much the same . I suggest you watch a few other trouble shooting videos as well .Is Chrysler Blower Motor Test subscriber requested video This next vehicle is a GM product , this one uses a relay for high blow only . A/c compressor works fine and the blower motor works and shutdown right? it is the problem with the blower resistor or with blower motor relay. try to direct the resistor irrespective of the speed. hope the problem may be solved.
According to the wiring diagram, it looks like the blower motor is grounded thru the resistor which is grounded thru the fan switch on the dash. High speed bypasses the resistor. If you have power on the terminals coming out of the resistor, the problem could be in the fan switch.
you can get a new resistor and you have to start the blower at hi always to avoid over heating in the resistors and protect the thermal fuse, the second after you had started the blower you can select any speed.
CHECK BLOWER MOTOR RELAY ALSO, AND USE A TEST LIGHT TO SEE IF POWER GOING TO BLOWER MOTOR, IF YES BLOWER MOTOR FAULTY.IF NO POWER GOING TO BLOWER MOTOR AND FUSE AND RELAY OKAY CONTROL SWITCH COULD BE BAD,A RESISTOR BAD MOST OF THE TIME IF YOU DONT HAVE BUT A FEW FAN BLOWER CONTROL SPEEDS.
Remove the lower right silencer panel. Remove the electrical connector, it is plugged into the resistor. Then replace the resistor. Since the blower motor works on high speed it is most likely the resistor.
Check your ground at the motor, alot of chryslers use a switching ground on the blower motor, hook the testlight clip to power, probe the ground wire on the motor and switch your fan speed and see if it gets brighter as you get to hi. if it does not light up you may have a bad blower resistor.
Your blower resistor is bad. It controls the mutiple speeds to allow you to go from low/med/high. When it goes bad you get one speed or no speeds....It's about $20-$50 at any local auto parts store. It mounted directly to the speed switch or on the heater plenum unit on the passenger side behind the glove box....
blower motor resister has burnt out also check wiring going to your blower motor resistor these must have a good tight connection or they will burn if any sighns of being hot change the complete wiring pig tail to your blower resistor
