PO700 PO740, check engine light on. Run a test on it. runs great what could it mean
PO700 is a code telling you there are codes in the TCM of some late model cars where the Transmission control module has lost connection to the PCM the vehicals main computer , And basically it happens when the TCM has a issue within itself or the transmission that sets a code and it sends a request for the PCM to illuminate the SES or CHECK engine light.
PO740 is a chrystler specific code that involves your Tourqe Converter Clutch Circuit (specifically The TCC solenoid) this code if not repaired quickly could cause major transmission problems....slipping out of gear....not shifting from first to second properly and just all around trans problems...eventually leading to no shifting at all...I highly recommend fixing it soon.
I'm having the same code on my 1999 dodge ram 2500. I also have code PO138 ( O2 sensor ). Does anyone know if this will cause my truck to stall if the truck reaches normal operating temps? Or does the PCM ever overheat when it's going bad? Causing the truck to stall. Truck also stalls after 30 mins. of idling in my driveway. Please help us!
