Well you're buying a Toyota. As long as the price is right, you really can't go wrong unless it already has some major issue. As far as maintenance goes, nothing more than normal. Mkae sure the timing belt has already been replaced(every 60-65,000 miles, this is you're big money item.), filters look good, look for abnormal wear on the tires, and fluids look good. Check the radio for what they are listening to. This will kind of give you an indication(physicological approach) to how they have been driving it and whether or not you may need the transmission looked at.
