the car loses power while driving any speed, just stops and idles, no power till turned off and started again, goes for a klm or so ,and does it again, not overheating,

no warning lights, alternator is fine, looks like the first new fuel pump was faulty, will have to wait and see how this new one goes, when fuel pump is fitted the problem goes away.

if anyone has this problem ... i know how to fix it ... it is simple and it does not need the fuel pump to be replaced.
    i have a 2002 2.0 petrol manual.
contact me at [email protected] and i will help you!
i had the same problem and i was stunned when i was asked a lot of money for a fuel pump replacement as i was sure the fuel pump was ok.

Car driven in high water a second later engine loses power and after letting it set overnite it regain power after a couple miles egine loss power again

Obviously some off your ignition component such as your plugs wires got wet. Provided that nothing shorted out, try opening your hood on a sunny day and let everything dry out. You may also try spraying some WD40 on your plug wires as it absorbs moisture.

I just both a glxi 93 mitsubishi car. How can I make my car fuel efficient. The car is still on its stock engine. thanks!

it loses efficiency as it ages, at nearly 20 years it will never regain what efficiency it ever had and your goal is simply to keep it running.

Randomly loses power and sometime dies

1st thing to do is have the system tested for the code that caused the check engine light to come, you may also have a fuel pump starting to fail or many other things, the check engine light may be the key. How many wiles on the car?

Replace plug plugwires, distrib, still a loss of power, want to make sure ive got it wired right

Have you checked the timing? does the engine run smooth at idle? if it idles ok then the plugs are wired correctly. Also verify you have correct fuel pressure. Fuel injected?
