Battery light flashes on and off intermittentlybut only when car is in motion. never standing still

Check battery with a voltage tester. If it has a good charge, test the Alternator. If Alternator is ok, check battery connections by making sure they are clean and tightened. Baking soda with water cleans them well. Also during the winter months, i take a paper towel and rub a little vaseline on the battery terminals to keep them clean and battery acid free!

Flickering battery light

The alternator is old and tired, having a hard time keeping up with the task of running all the elecrtricals AND charging the battery. If you put a voltmeter on it with the engine running, it would show the alternator's output at the low end of acceptable performance. Have it tested to be sure.

Lights flicker, (outside and inside lights). have already checked the battery and alt. , every good. battery light comes on( it flickers) and we lose power. have changed 3 coil packs ( the garage put it in...

You need to check the plug that goes into the alternator to see if it's tight fitting next the brushes inside the alternator have a wear indicator that is a hole in the center it is also used to set them in place with a pin that could be the flickering cause the brushes are solid till they get to the opening so when the alternator is running there's always a break in contact because of the hole so it makes and breaks contact causing the flickering and the charging level is ok but when a lot of accessories are on it can't keep up the charging voltages so the battery gradually goes dead losing power also another spot to look is the power distribution box cable it co u ld be loose and dirty and corroded

My 1994 nissan, the alt/oil light, battery light keep flickering.

It could possibility be bad or loose connection on the alternator or battery wiring, or a loose alternator belt. All those lights come on when the battery isn't getting a charge, so the alternator is where I'd start looking.

Battery light comes on when accelerating, alternator is ok

In fact the Alternator is on it's way out, I had Taurus that was doing the same thing. When the RPM's were over 3000 the light would flicker. What happens is, the slip rings wear and get out of round and when the RPM's get too high the brushes start to bounce causing the light to flicker. Keep in mind the alternator is spinning about 3 times the speed of the engine. Pick up an alternator it's just a matter of time, mine went about 6 months like that, try to keep the RPM's low.

Lights started flickering battery light came on Dash lights and gages went crazy now wont start

Like you said, battery may be flat. You can check that with a multimeter.

Next check the alternator. Faulty alternator leads to uncharged battery.

Lights flickering

If the light is flickering and not just becoming brighter or dimmer with engine rpm, I'd suspect an electrical short, possibly between the battery and alternator or inside the alternator itself. have the alternator output checked before going further with diagnosis and before it fails completely and becomes more difficult to diagnose.

All my lights are flickering on my car....

Check Alternator Diode if one is bad it can make your lights flicker, but it will show the alternator as being good.
