You just fit a Bypass Pulley. This takes the place of the AC compressor, the belt and routing stay the same.

there is a tensioner pulley with a place to put a ratchet loosen tension and remove make sure you have a diagram to put belt back on if not draw a picture before removing

I can help, a belt diagram for a 1997 park ave, some of these cars come with a super charger, heres a diagram that list both the regular belt and then the charger belt, use what is needed, hope this helps.

yes.that is the only way.You have to unbolt the motor mount. To replace the serpentine belt on a V6 3800 series non-supercharged motor, you must jack up the motor and remove a motor mount. Before going any further make sure that the factory belt diagram sticker is still somewhere under the hood; if not, make a detailed diagram of the path of the belt. You must then use a breaker bar with a socket (I believe 13/64") and pull it toward the front of the car to release the belt tensioner. On your idler pulley there is a 15mil bolt... put a wrench on this bolt (long wrench) and turn it like you are turning it tighter. The idler pulley will move forward releasing tension on your belt. Make sure you pull the belt off the alternator pulley when the idler pulley is compressed. You may want to pay attention to how the belt is on there, maybe 2 people would be a good idea too if you aren't familiar with your car.

there should a diagram near the cap in that area.a small sticker with pic tor auto zone will give you pitcher free.the tench on Pauly takes a special tool.

1. Remove the engine mount to engine mount bracket nuts. Important: Ensure that the wood block extends past the width of the oil pan in order to avoid damage.
2. Use a jack with a block of wood on the jack under the oil pan in order to support the engine.
3. Remove the engine mount bracket front upper and lower nuts.
4. Remove the engine mount bracket front upper and lower studs and spacer.
5. Lower the engine as necessary and rotate the tensioner to remove the drive belt.Remove the supercharger belt.
6. Reverse For INSTALATION

If the s/c is making a knocking noise that goes away when the throttle is pushed, you could have a coupling problem. Remove the s/c belt, grab the pulley and quickly twist the pulley back and forth from the 10 to 2 positions. There should not be a clunking noise and slowly moving the pulley you should feel a drag while the rotors move, no drag immediately means the coupling is bad.

the park ave i was working on had a super charger.with 2 serp belts.i just kept at it n got them on right .trial n error.i need to know if i could get a price for some used parts i got .3800 heads,3800 supercharger,oil pan with pick up tube ,valve covers,complete intake with all injectors
