The short answer to your question is:

1. Raise the car on the passenger side and remove the front wheel.
2. Remove the belts on the harmonic balancer.
3. Remove the retaining bolt.
4. With a puller, jack the harmonic balancer off of the crank shaft. You can rent a puller at your local auto parts store. It is easiest to access the harmonic balancer through the fender, hence the need to remove the wheel.
5. You should also consider replacing the seal around the harmonic balancer to minimize the possibility of a leak later.
6. Install the new harmonic balancer and tighten the retaining bolt to the specified torque (I don't know this off the top of my head).
7. Replace the belts and wheel, and voila...mission accomplished.

This was a short answer to your question. You may wish to consult a repair manual for illustrations, torque specifications, additional instructions, etc. This job is not for the faint of heart. Good luck!

Driving home went to turn corner, could hardly turn temperature gage went to hot and battery light came on. Was told I needed a harmonic crank shaft fixed, idler belt tension, and reoplace surpentine belt....

They are jerking your chain then. Serpentine belt, most likely. There is no such thing as a Harmonic Crank Shaft. There is a Harmonic Balance Pulley which is attached to the Crank Shaft but if that is damaged you have really got a lot more damage there than you have described. Serpentine belt will cost you about $40 at auto Zone and takes about 15 minutes to install if you do it yourself. Pay attention to the routing and I bet once you replace that everything will work fine.

What are the symptoms of a failed harmonic balancer on a oldsmobile 03 bravada smart trak 2wd engine vortec 4200. The fan clutch is really wobbly where it connects to the harmonic balancer pulley

The fan clutch is connected to the water pump. The harmonic balancer is the crank pulley. If the fan clutch/pulley the fan clutch is attached to is sloppy than the water pump is bad.

How do you change the crank shaft pulley?

If you have the 3.5l engine, and you don't remove the right side engine cradle bolts, you will not have enough room and will strip out the bolt when you go to put it back in. There is only one belt. There is not a woodruff key on that engine, and the pulley can go back on any which way.

Where is the crank sensor located on a 1999 oldsmobile intrigue 3.5 engine???? easy to replace or not...

usually all crankshaft sensors are located right next to the main drive pulley (Harmonic balancer). As far as being easy is concerned some are not so easy as some require the removal of the harmonic balancer to get to it.. but you might be lucky Gm is pretty good at making the Crankshaft sensor accessible without removing the harmonic balancer.
