Considering the multiple problems it would be almost foolish for me to try and give you one quick answer because of multiple problems you have..Take it directly to a dealer and have it scanned to find your exact problem...Then you could leave and repair it yourself or Do it the expensive safe way and let them repair it .....DO THE BEST THING FOR YOU...Don't get a headache from thinking of what it could be and trying to understand our answers because there are too many different answers to your problem....
MV could be the problem. Always work thru issue before buying ANY can of additive. Generally those things just mask the issue..not fix it. Change your fluid, and if that doesnt correct it,then take it in and have the tranny bands tightened. most shops do this relatively in expensively.
Check that the OD solenoid on the torque converter is good still. When the R4 wont go into OD you have no more gears than 1st an 2nd. If the OD clutch drum was relaced if it was burnt, that will make a problem also. You have to have OD in order for these babies to work right.
if the car has a distributor ignition system, the tack wire comes from the distributor plug, not sure what color the wire is, the tack gets it's reading from one of these wires. check wire from back of tack. trace to distributor and check connections. if connected, tack is probably bad.
