2005 honda civic lx engine light is on on the dashboard. I JUST HAD IT IN THE SHOP AND THEY PUT A FUEL SENSOR IN, BUT LIGHT CAME BACK ON TONIGHT.

You will have to get the engine trouble codes read to see if the same problem you had fixed still exists or a new problem is now there.

The engine emision light comes on while drivingon my honda 2005

means an error was tripped by one or more of the sensors. in order to find it you need an obdII reader which at autozone or other part stores run about from 80 to 300 bucks

2005 honda civic ex engine light and trans want swift to last ge

It is possible that the emission problem that triggered the check engine light has something to do with the car not shifting into high gear. You need to have the honda scanned for codes to see what exactly is wrong, correct the problem, and see if the transmission issues clear up after the fix. Parts stores offer a free check of engine codes, and can explain what they mean and offer ideas on how to fix the problem. If after getting the codes you still have questions, post them here with the code #'s.

Engine Light Stays On

If there is an advanced auto or an autozone near you, take it there, they don't charge to hook up a code scanner. Takes about a minute, a repair shop will charge almost $100.00.
