When should a timing belt be change on a mazda cx

Contact your local Mazda dealer and ask them. Manufacturers all have different intervals for specific type of services and maintenance.

Some vehicles have a belt and others have a chain. In belts, most commonly are changed within 80,000 to 100,000 miles. With chains, as long as you maintain your oil changes up to date, no need to replace. But consider that hard driving affects the overall performance of this component.

Timing mark on crank pulley doesnt match up with one on cam pulley. back firing thru carb. what do i do?

Sounds like the timing chain / belt has slipped. If it has a timing belt, did you replace it at the recommended interval? If it is a belt, you should get a new belt, install it and reset the timing of the cam and crank.

If it is a chain, then the chain and gear is most likely worn.

Best of luck,

How do I instal a timing belt on a Delta 88 Oldsmobile?

You don't list the year but i'm fairly certain your Oldsmobile has a timing chain, not a belt. A timing chain doesn't have a regular service interval and should only be changed if it's suspect of having excessive wear or other problem that requires replacement. You can tell if you have a chain or a belt by looking at the timing cover. If it's shallow and metal, it's a chain. If it's about 2-3" deep and plastic it's a belt.

When should I replace the timing belt on a 1999 gmc sonoma

Your vehicle has a timing chain, not a belt. There is no regular maintenance interval on the chain. If it starts to clatter at idle, it may be time to replace, otherwise, do not be concerned

When do i need to change my ford focus 18 tdci cam belt

It should be in your owners manual service intervals information,or i go by the 60k miles rule. Some cars now utilize a timing chain and gears like the Mazda 3,so it would be a good idea to call your local Ford dealer, and talk to the service department,as they can tell you the specifics as to whether your engine carries a belt or chain, and the service interval for timing belts.Timing chains generally don't wear out until around the 100k mark, but belts should be serviced at 60k miles as a general rule.
