Just a seal removal tool or a screw driver, pops right out.

I found a few drops of transmission fluid on my concrete carport..what needs to be done to fix it

Usually when you see this it is a problem with the transmission front seal (expensive
repair). The part is under 10 dollars but requires removal of the transmission to install
it around the front shaft. 2 to 4 hours shop time for most cars.

Rear oil seal leaking. how to fix

If your sure the rear main seal is leaking then the engine and transmission have to be separated. It is easier to remove the transmission. If it's an automatic then after trans removal, you have to remove the flex plate to expose the seal. If it's a manual then the flywheel has to be removed after trans removal. It is a one piece seal that can be pryed out gently and a new one pressed in.

Leaking transmission fluid, most seen under left drivers side tire. What could this be? If its the front pump seal, do I need to have the whole transmisssion removed to reach it?? What is the transmission...

Well, you have to put the car up on a lift, clean fluid and find out where it is coming from. If the front pump area seal, yes, you need to pull the trans to fix that. If it is leaking from the pan, that can usually be changed without trans removal.

I need to replace the front transmission seal in my 1984 chevy s10 how do i do it

I'am assuming its an automatic, in any case the transmission has to come out, after thats done, slip torq converter out of trans, replace the pump seal and reinstall converter into trans, and reinstall trans. back into truck.

ATF is leaking out of the flywheel assy of my 99 Suburban 1500

if it is ATF then it is the trans pump or input shaft seal, these both require the removal of the transmission.

If it is coolant it may be a rear freeze plug, but this is rare and also requires the removal of the transmission

A more likley cause is a leaky intake manifold which is very common on the vortec v8 engines, it leaks at the very back and runs down the bell housing. this repair is a bit extensive but can be accomplished by a good DIYer given time, space and tools this repair is also the least expensive of the three, about $300
