Yes. it is part of the intake system and the computer relies on the air that is being forced into it. the 3.8 is a great engine and you have a one of a kind. or one of few. but the engine is built with less compression to accommodate the supercharger. to run without it in the long run will cause major problems.

No, it will run without the belt just fine. I did it for 3 months... the worst thing that happened was I got better gas milage

should be on the fuel rail, take the plastic engine cover off and you should see the injector rails on either side of the supercharger, got to be real close to the line towards the firewall

CHECK FUEL PRESSURE IT SHOULD BE 41 - 47 PSI. IF NOT REPLACE FUEL FILTER.IF NO CHANGE. REPLACE FUEL PUMP.IF FUEL PUMP IS GOOD.YOUR PROBLEM COULD BE A INTAKE LEAK OR SPARK IGNITION PROBLEMS.ALSO USE A SCANNER TO CHECK FOR FAULTY SENSORS OR THEFT DETERENT PROBLEMS.

maybe it has too much supercharger oil in the supercharger , that maybe be true what they say , it can be taken out , it should take two 4oz bottles, check your supercharger oil level, too much of it is not a good thing, overflow? it should take only the amount that is required, so dealership should know that

Buick Regal Gs supercharger nose assembly please help if you can
the 3.8" supercharger (belt) pulley? You need a special tool as they are press fit.
www.intence-racing.com and www.3800performance.com

both carry it and offer the tool for rent as well.

Much of the noise comes from the coupler, however there are case (needle) bearings as well that wear, Those are much more difficult to replace.
