Recently my sonata 2.0 gls cam belt snapped. we replaced all the belts , valves , however the engine starts but idles uneven , this never used to happed before
You say you replaced the valves, what about the camshaft & rockers. I say this as if the valves were bent, the energy used to bend them also transferred through them & into the valve train. Just a thought.
Pressure test your cooling system to be sure it's perfetly sealed & there isn't a cracked head.
Run a vacuum test to determine if it is the valves causing the problem. If you are unfamiliar with using the vacuum gauge, they come with pretty detailed instructions & point out quite a few engine conditions just by observing. Not a bad idea to double check your camshaft timing.
Hope that this sheds some light on things, there are so many other possibilities, gasket not sealed perfectly, even when properly following the torque sequence & settings gasket surfaces not 100% prepared can cause sealing issues, plugs damaged by heat or impact that are not set at the proper gap. Vacuum hoses reversed or broken, leaking, pinched.
Lastly, double check all of your electrical connections to ensure they are properly plugged in and no wiring has become pinched, broken, grounded.
good luck
Cams could be in the wrong position. I would take it to the local automotive shop and have them take a look at it.
