Driving conditions / oil

(Note all oils are NON-DETERGENT)

City hot / SAE 20W - 50
City warm / SAE 10W - 40
City cold / SAE 5 -30 or 5W-40

Rural hot / SAE 20W - 50
Rural warm / SAE 10W - 40
Rural cold / SAE 5W - 30

Brand does not really matter as the SAE designation makes them all the same other than a few manufacturer specific additives i.e Techron ect.

You can use synthetic oil if you want but if you change oil at regular 3000 mi intervals there really is no need to go to the added expense of a synthetic oil.

What kind of oil does my 2005 town and country use?

it depends if its the 3.3 liter or the 3.8 liter. one of the motors is 5w30 and the other is 10w30 but to ensure this is correct. Look on your oil filler cap and it will display what oil you need to put in. Also make sure you buy the oil that you have been using. Like if you use synthetic you want to use synthetic oil or vice versa.

Type of oil

It really does not matter if you use conventional (regular) or synthetic oil, as long as you use the correct type...in example: 5w-30, 10w-30, etc.
