Sounds like wireing is shorted together. you need to trace down wires and check for bad spots in wireing. also be sure and check plug if you are set up for trailer lights.

I have a 2003 Jeep wrangler. All three brake lights don't work. The lights are fine because the tail lights work. I've replaced the pressure switch at the pedal with no results. Dan.

just because the tail lights work doesn't necessarily mean the bulbs are good, many brake/tail lights have multiple filaments in them, you can usually remove a bulb and tell with your naked eye if a filament has failed. Another possibility is a fuse. Are you getting power in and out of that brake light switch?

My brake lights will not turn off when the motor is off what is wrong?

Well, the brake light circuit is always energized. If you have the vehicle off and press on the brakes, the lights should illuminate.

If the brake lights remain on without the pedal being pressed, something is wrong with the switch, located under the dash, along the pedal arm. This switch may need adjustment or replacement.

2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee, I had blinkers and flashers no brake lights, and after checking the bulbs in the light itself I dont have blinkers or flashers at all

Just no turn signals in the back now? Maybe didn't install the bulbs tight back into the asm? No brake lights...do the lights work with headlights on and just no illumination with the brake pedal depressed? Could be brake light switch.
