You might be able to reprogram the key, but you can only do this if you have two keys, what you need to do is put one key in the ignition turn the ignition on ( not over ) put the key that needs reprogramming into the drivers door and lock the vehicle with the key not the button, wait 10 seconds, remove the key, then press the unlock on the fobb, turn ignition off, remove key from ignition, put in the key that you just unlocked the car with and turn ignition do not turn over, turn off ignition, remove key wait 10 seconds, then put key back in then you should be able to turn it over as normal, if that does not work you will have to take key to be reprogramed at the main dealer...hope this helps

Audi TT Plug not sparking, new battery so lights working, Fuses checked ok but still wont start

no idea here iam afraid ,but a lot lot of VW products have like a a big connection block on the positive battery terminal perhaps something here is amiss, failing which try locking and unlocking the drivers door three times then try try starting the vehicle withing 15seconds in casae the immobilisor is on.,This often happens with cars that get a flat battery as i look after a lot of vehicles that are in a long term airport parking and som of the faults are right weird and wonderful .Firstly renew the battery then check what i mentioned but yes the battery if a bit old will not hold a charge then the immobilisor comes on as it goes flat ,also try this and thats to join the + and neg battery terminals together and leave for a while then fit a new battery and try it agin and iam sure it will start

Turn key on and like dead battery but battery is ok

one of three things here i think ,either immobilisor ,try the spare key or the starter motor is not working maybe the switch on the back of the ignition lock or a relay ,in all honesty i would need my head under the bonnet to know exactly what fault this one is .

Renault Twingo with a key that activates the central locking and engine immobilizer, today I flattened the battery by leaving the lights on, I used jump leads to charge the battery, all works apart from...

yes i know what these cars are like ,a right pain in the you know where and the only solution is to calkl a truck and have it taken to the dealer ,its a europeon vehicle and uses encrypted software ,Now on earlier models you still get a spark and the immobilisor only shuts of the fuel pump so if you try running a hot wire direct to the fuel pump it should start anyway ,check for polarity on the sender unit where the fuel pump is ,access can be gained from under teh back seat on this vehicle ,if you do have to have it re-programmed then once its running with teh key cut the thrid wire on the immobilisor reader in the drivers side footwell with teh engine running and then it thinks it still has the key in the ignition .I HATE RENAULTS

Yes, this sounds like a flat battery. You could try to get a jump start off someone else, so that you know it is definately not the engine. Otherwise, purchase a new battery and you should be fine.

2001 Pontiac Bonneville won't start

have you not left any load on overnight?..like park light or left the door partially open and the dome light would be left on?

have the battery recharge and the next night, make sure that no light would be left on the car.

if it would drain out again, have it recharged again, use it and on the night, make sure no light is left on the car, then remove the positive pole on the battery overnight.

the next morning, put the positive cable back and start the car.

if the car would start, then no problem with the battery, if the car would not start, then return the battery because it is defective.
