It isn't specified. There is more than one fuse that covers transmission. You would need an auto electrician or a transmission expert to connect a pro grade scan tool computer and diagnose if the switch or solenoid is faulty. A scan tool at this level is bi-directional and can command solenoids to operate and confirm that they do.

Have you checked the fuse?

try pushing down (bounce) the hood when trying the lever.

Sounds like a bad ignition switch.

You can get the original Dodge dealer service manual from faxonautoliterature. I've used them before and had excellent service. You may also want to consider picking up an aftermarket manual such as Chilton or Haynes because quite often they have shortcuts and remedies to common problems with that vehicle.They can be got at most autoparts stores. Hope this helps.
